Ode to Nikola Tesla

Born far away, no one understands

The ideas that you have

The things that you create

You came to America seeking a job

Edison's lab you found

You worked long and hard.

Then he came, putting you down

You used it for efficiency

He used it to make death

Quitting there you did your own stuff

You lit up the World's Fair

And made electricity wireless.

Westinghouse was only there for money

And so you were rejected again

How would they charge the charge?

You shut yourself inside a room

You fell in love with a pigeon

You were a smart one, Nikola.
